By the time Uni is finished it'll be larger than a VN like Clannad, which is $45 right now on steam, The entirety of Higurashi is also $45, Dal Segno, another dating VN, which is smaller than Uni, is $40.
Currently Uni has 600,000+ words and over 100 CG Scenes and we're only around 50% done with the game.
Considering the amount of content and work that we've put into the game, I think $25 for the game is very fair.
Was enjoyable, until it chose to be a forced monogamy sim. I will also note the odd amount of sadism the creator has against the player/mc. Kind of disappointed, but oh well.
It warns, sure, but in a way that puts words in my mouth, and lets you play way too much of the admittedly slow game before finally throwing the choice at you. The game feels like it cannot decide between you playing a generic self insert and a specific character, taking great effort in using vague/generic dialogue to immerse you in the game, but then also often deciding what you say, think, and feel for you, which is jarring to say the least. Im forced to have a zealous hatred for cargo shorts, forced to feel jealous when I select otherwise, forced to feel guilt and having beliefs about monogomy, forced to into a hang out that that is written to skip work like a previous opt in scene like it, just so i can force its cruel choice, and not be given any real say in the matter, and dragging the whole thing out instead of getting on with it, like if fluff content was made of fiberglass. If it went one way or the other there wouldnt be much of an issue.
The game clearly wants to be a suffering game, between the above, and many scenes being opt in misery content, with the opting out routes feeling lacking in much content, which to each there own. But it feels like the game wants to be less vn game, and more tragedy novel. I just wish it would stop jerking me around, and either give me real choices and stop telling me how I feel, or give me a novel.
Which is all a shame, because I adore the characters, and wish there was a better way thru the game. As I said before, oh well.
The issue of deciding what the player character says, and taking that small level of control away is something that games have always struggled with. Mass Effect is a good example of this where it offers you the choice of self inserting or playing character, but at moments doing or saying something you or the character wouldn't specifically want.
For a visual novel I do believe we do offer a much higher sense of adjacency than the majority of VNs out there.

Basically it's a coin toss if it'll get on Steam or not. Fingers crossed.
The android version will have some UI issues, but should be playable for the majority. Highly recommend playing it on a desktop if you have that option.

Is there a single purchase alternative?, 25 dollars is 125 reais (which is, for example, the price of GTA 5), which for Brazilians is absurdly expensive, would there be a regional price alternative?
I'm sorry about that. Steam is the only platform that I'm aware of that allows the localization of prices. Right now the only cheaper alternative is Patreon.
If we manage to get on Steam the prices will be localized there.
Hi, I love your game, and I love how you interact with your players!
Now I haven't finished all of the routes yet but I want to make a suggestion. I understand this game is meant to appeal to male players as well but could we have some more normal guys? As things stand there are only two (main) boys to choose from (as far as I know) and they're not exactly normal. Call me boring but I just want a sweet pretty boyfriend who isn't horribly autistic or completely fucked in the head.

Yeah, as a male, I think an erogame that appeals to both male and female players is a fantastic idea. Though I'm okay with them sticking to heroines lol, I love their design lots more
The original idea I wanted to do and what I prototyped was being able to choose a male or female character to play as. The premise was that your family just finished a divorce and depending on your choice would also select what parent you went with.
Eventually I realized that this idea alone made the game absolutely massive in scope and way too far and way outside what I was capable of. So focusing more on what the H-Game market was missing more of (Female Protagonist Games) at the time I moved it to one character and providing something that both men and women could enjoy. Even if it is more leaning towards stuff guys would like.
My plan for Uni 2 (Which is final game on our H-Game Roadmap; so that game is likely decades away) is to allow the player to select if they play as a male or female character; much closer to the original prototype.
You're not the only one who had the same thought. Damien was originally meant to fill the role of the "Normal" guy route opposing Kate's "Normal" girl route, but eventually things changed with him so there was a vacuum left with the male choices.
That's why in 0.50 we added Nathan as a route and character to fill that role. He's doesn't have as much content as the other routes, but his involvement and character more than make up for it I think.
So TLDR: We have one! He's just a bit difficult to get on his route.
I was thinking more of a "that guy every girl in school has a crush on" sort of guy. The popular, nice, cute, sexy and wholly unattainable girl of every weeb's dreams, only its a boy, and the weeb dreaming is a girl.

Damien and Matt are the most intertwined routes in the game and won't be applied as much as the others are. So tldr: Not with any of the major routes currently.
Yes! Plenty of threesome scenes are planned for the future it's just been a matter of building up to them.
I'm seeing too few comments about Kate's route and too many on Matt's. Y'all on some weird shi. Kate on top and whoever went the corruption way with her deserves hell. (Great game by the way)

You gotta think out of the box here. The fact that there's hate among the community means it has pleased complete opposites, which means there's diversity. So I really do think it's possible to please everyone amd you're doing a great job at it.
You'll have to wipe persistent from the main menu. Changes to the code made it where the persistent data leftover from previous saves can cause an error.

I sort of got the idea this was an otaku game when the game keeps throwing creeps, pedophiles and generally undesirable men at MC.
But hey at least the male leads are cute, a courtesy rarely given to the (very?) small female demographic for these games. So thanks for that!

I have. We'll likely attempt to make a translation of several languages once we're closer to completion.
